Education & Experience Before serving as a general dentist in Calgary, I was honoured to practice in a variety of settings prior to moving to our wonderful city. After earning my doctorate in 1994 from Northwestern Dental School in Chicago, I practiced there for six years as an associate before moving to Canada. In Whitehorse, I was fortunate to gain additional experience as a dentist serving the wide-ranging dental needs of the local population while having access to some of my favourite winter sports. In 2005, I made Calgary home and opened my first dental practice, Killarney Dental. In 2012, I partnered with Dr. Shep Secter, at his Mission Dental practice, merging both successful practices into one, to create SL Dental Centre and am now proud to carry on the fine traditions of patient-centred care practised at both offices. Outside Interests When not practising dentistry or learning of the best evidence-based treatments and technologies to give you the healthy and beautiful smile of your dreams, I love to be outdoors. Weather permitting, I love to take to the mountains on my snowmobile, and I enjoy playing squash and spending time with my wife and our son Hugo. My family is as important to me as yours is to you. That’s why I treat all my patients as extended family – because it’s what I would expect for my own family.
